Shipping & Returns

This policy outlines the terms governing shipping, returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds for all purchases made through Unconventional.
By placing an order, customers agree to the terms below.

1. General Policy

Unconventional operates on a curated, limited-inventory model featuring independent and homegrown brands. Many products are produced in small quantities or made-to-order.

Key Principles:

  • No returns for change of mind
  • Exchanges allowed only in specific cases
  • Refunds only for damaged or incorrect products
  • Store credit may be issued in select cases
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Strict verification and inspection required

We strongly encourage customers to review sizing and product details carefully before placing orders. Our team is available for assistance via WhatsApp or email.

2. Payment Policy

  • Prepaid orders only

  • No Cash on Delivery (COD)

3. Shipping Policy

Processing Time

  • Orders processed and processed within 2–4 business days

  • Made-to-order items: 10–15 business days

Delivery Timelines (Post Dispatch)

  • Metro cities: 3–5 business days

  • Other locations: 5–8 business days

  • Remote locations: Up to 10 business days

Shipping timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Shipping Confirmation

  • Tracking link shared via email/SMS

  • Activated within 24 hours

Failed Deliveries (RTO)

Courier attempts delivery 2 times only.

If failed due to:

  • Incorrect address

  • Customer unavailable

  • Phone unreachable

Then:

  • Order is returned to origin (RTO)

  • Re-shipping charges must be paid by customer

  • Order may be cancelled at brand’s discretion

Incorrect Address

Customers are responsible for accurate details.
Unconventional is not liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect information.

4. Returns & Exchanges Window

  • Requests must be raised within 7 working days of delivery

  • Requests after this window will not be accepted

  • All requests must be sent via official support channels with required proof

5. Eligibility for Returns / Exchanges

Accepted only if:

  • Product is damaged during transit

  • Wrong product delivered

  • Wrong size sent by the brand

Not accepted for:

  • Change of mind

  • Minor color/appearance variation

  • Used or worn items

6. Mandatory Proof Requirements

To process any request:

  • Unboxing video (showing sealed package)

  • Product clearly visible

  • Original packaging and tags

  • Invoice/order confirmation

Requests without proof will be rejected.

7. Product Condition Requirements

Items must be:

  • Unused

  • Unwashed

  • Undamaged

  • In original packaging

  • With tags and seals intact

Failed inspection = return rejected + item shipped back at customer’s cost.

8. Return & Inspection Process

  1. Request approval via email

  2. Ship item (or reverse pickup arranged in select cases)

  3. Inspection upon arrival (2–5 business days)

Final approval is based on inspection.

9. Exchange Policy

Allowed only for:

  • Defective items

  • Incorrect product

  • Incorrect size sent by brand

Conditions:

  • Only one exchange per order

  • Subject to stock availability

  • Customer bears return shipping cost

If replacement unavailable:

  • Store credit issued (equal to product value)

Once exchange is completed, the order is final.

10. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only if:

  • Product is damaged

  • Wrong item delivered

  • Exchange cannot be fulfilled

Process:

  • Initiated within 3–5 business days post inspection

  • Bank processing: 5–7 business days

Refunds are made to the original payment method only.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.

11. Store Credit Policy

  • Valid for 90 days

  • Non-transferable, non-extendable

  • Cannot be converted to cash

Orders placed using store credit are final sale.

12. Non-Returnable Categories

The following are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

  • Footwear

  • Accessories (bags, sunglasses, caps, jewellery, socks, etc.)

  • Innerwear / bodywear

  • Limited edition / collectible items

  • Made-to-order pieces

  • Lifestyle products

  • Sale or discounted items

13. Sale Items

All sale purchases are final.
No returns, exchanges, refunds, or store credit.

14. Cancellation Policy

  • Allowed only before dispatch

  • Cancellation = store credit only

If cancelled after dispatch:

  • Logistics & processing deductions may apply

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

15. Shipping Charges

  • Calculated at checkout

  • Free shipping is eligible for orders above ₹1000

  • Non-refundable

For returns:

  • Shipping costs borne by customer

  • Not included in store credit

For orders above ₹1500:

  • Use a trackable shipping service

Unconventional is not responsible for lost return shipments.

16. International Orders

  • Prepaid only

  • No returns or exchanges

  • Customs duties/taxes paid by customer

Delays due to customs are beyond our control.

17. Policy Enforcement

Unconventional reserves the right to:

  • Approve or reject any request

  • Ask for additional verification

  • Modify policies without prior notice

All decisions are final post inspection.
